Amazon is a juggernaut for sure, and their sheer scale and logistics engine
gives them an advantage over their competitors, but that does not make them a monopoly. Walmart put a lot of mom & pop shops out of business because their scale gave them huge leverage over their suppliers and they could afford to set prices well below where the mom & pops needed to be to survive. That didn't make Walmart a monopoly, despite them having a huge scale advantage.
I can see the concern for the trajectory of Amazon and how at some point their dominance could shift from being a benefit/convenience to the consumer to a detriment. But right now, they are 5% of retail sales. There is literally nothing of consequence (apologies to purveyors of used non auction media) that any consumer can't get from literally 10 other sources online, plus a whole host of local brick and mortar retailers.
I do a lot of shopping with amazon... but I always cross shop because amazon is usually, but not always the lowest price.
